Founder & Director of Tennis

Sena Tengey founded Diamond Tennis Academy in 2006 with a simple vision: to inspire more people to play tennis and to provide high-quality coaching that helps every player reach their potential.

Having coached since 2000, Sena has dedicated more than 25 years to developing players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to county-level competitors. His passion for the sport, combined with his commitment to long-term player development, has shaped the values and philosophy that continue to define Diamond Tennis Academy today.

Under Sena’s leadership, the academy has established strong partnerships with schools, tennis clubs, and the local community, creating opportunities for thousands of children and adults to enjoy tennis in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. Nearly two decades after its launch, Diamond Tennis Academy continues to grow while remaining committed to making a positive impact through the sport.

Sena holds the prestigious UKCC Level 5 Master Club Coach award from the LTA  and is an Accredited+ Coach, the highest coaching qualifications in the UK. He also holds a degree in Accountancy and Management from Cardiff University, together with a Professional Practice in Tennis Coaching Management degree from Northumbria University.

As a junior and young adult, Sena competed regularly in tournaments throughout South Wales, experiences that continue to influence his coaching philosophy today. While much of his time is now spent developing players and leading the academy, he still enjoys getting on court for a competitive game of singles whenever the opportunity arises.
